CaseCentral Connector to Enterprise Vault Discovery Accelerator Datasheet

CaseCentral has teamed with Symantec to develop an API level connector that integrates Symantec Enterprise Vault Discovery Accelerator (EVDA) with the cloud-based CaseCentral eDiscovery Platform to offer customers a comprehensive integrated eDiscovery solution spanning the entire Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) lifecycle.

Symantec’s Enterprise Vault is a leader in Information Management and Preservation software, and Symantec Discovery Accelerator extends search and review to internal teams. Once cases have been created within EVDA, the CaseCentral connector automatically loads the results to the cloud-based CaseCentral eDiscovery Platform for outside legal teams to perform early case assessment, analysis, review and production.

The CaseCentral eDiscovery Platform provides key collaborative legal functionality so legal departments can work with outside legal teams such as outside counsel and expert witnesses. This integration eliminates the current practice of IT manually exporting and transferring large amounts of data to multiple external parties (outside counsel, processing vendors, etc.) for re-processing and legal review.

Clients using the new connector will bypass EDD processing and the associated fees for data moved into CaseCentral from Enterprise Vault, reclaiming the days and weeks spent processing data and removing risk by eliminating the opportunity for error.

Connector Functionality – The CaseCentral Connector is an on-premise application which automates the transfer of data from Enterprise Vault Discovery Accelerator (EVDA) to the CaseCentral eDiscovery Platform. Functionality includes:

Transfers documents, metadata as well as Discovery Accelerator Marks and Comments across FTP over SSL (FTPS)

CaseCentral CloudConnect – In addition to the data from Symantec EVDA, customers can upload locally accessible files such as images, PSTs, etc. directly to the cloud-based CaseCentral eDiscovery Platform using CaseCentral CloudConnect. CaseCentral CloudConnect replaces the traditionally cumbersome process of copying electronically stored information (ESI) to media and shipping it to a vendor or firm for processing, de-duplication and loading into an eDiscovery tool -- a manual process that can often take days or weeks. Instead, with self-service CaseCentral CloudConnect, users simply select the required files to upload (images, PSTs, etc.) and the software automatically encrypts, transfers, processes, de-duplicates and loads the data per client specifications, maintaining chain of custody and creating an end-to-end process that can significantly reduce the time, risks and costs associated with a manual processes. After the data is loaded, users simply log in to the cloud-based CaseCentral eDiscovery Platform application to begin analysis, early case assessment, review and production.
