CaseCentral, the leader in electronic discovery and litigation management solutions for major law firms and corporations, today announced key enhancements to its Online Review and Repository 4.0 managed service for corporate counsel and law firms. Already the industry’s leading online review service for large-scale litigation, Online Review and Repository 4.0 has been enhanced to keep pace with the dramatic changes taking place in every phase of the litigation lifecycle. Today, litigation is increasingly collaborative, with joint defense groups, use of expert witnesses, multi-firm cases, and repeat or pattern litigation all on the rise, posing significant logistical and security challenges for corporate counsel, law firms, and their clients. CaseCentral Online Review and Repository 4.0 meets these challenges with enhanced security controls, improved collaboration, and greater efficiency.
“Online review is often the only solution today for large-scale, complex litigation, but the solution must support every phase of the litigation lifecycle including preparation, discovery, review, production, and archiving,” said Chris Kruse, CEO and co-founder. “The advances in Online Review and Repository 4.0 reflect CaseCentral’s commitment to developing innovative solutions that support the evolving needs of corporate counsel and law firms and protect the interests of every case, every client, and every firm committed to the litigation.”
CaseCentral Online Review and Repository 4.0 delivers a number of advances that reduce risk, increase reviewer productivity and accuracy, and aid collaboration.
Enhanced Security
CaseCentral already offers the most secure online review service in the industry, including data stored in 365 Main’s ultra-secure data center and the use of advanced network security, such as 128-bit SSL encryption, firewalls at all network access points, automatic virus checks, and industry-leading user authentication protocols. In Online Review and Repository 4.0, enhancements to CaseCentral’s already exceptionally secure infrastructure include an improved permissions and privileges capability. Role-based permissions and folder access rules make it easy to provide individuals, such as an expert witness, with appropriate access to a specific document collection while denying access to the entire repository. Access can be assigned by case or collection of documents, facilitating the management of one collection of documents used in multiple related cases. Users can also manage their own passwords, including retrieving lost passwords, promoting increased security while minimizing the burden on administrators.
Increased Collaboration
Online Review and Repository 4.0 supports the increasingly complex nature of today’s litigation, helping corporate counsel streamline relationships with supporting law firms through greater collaboration. Online Review and Repository 4.0’s new multi-reviewer pane now supports a wide variety of different review processes and needs. Designed for multi-case, multi-pattern, and multi-party litigation, the enhanced interface provides multiple document views for different reviewers at various points in the workflow. For example, first-line reviewers may have access to fewer fields than second-line reviewers, and expert or witness reviewers may see different document views than full-privilege reviewers.
In addition, while CaseCentral has always supported native reviews, the 4.0 enhancement enables documents to be viewed in both native and imaged (PDF or TIFF) formats. By simply toggling between native, image, and text, reviewers can now experience the best of all worlds simultaneously, and reviews are now easier, faster, and more accurate.
Faster, More Accurate Reviews
