Tom Thimot, President and Chief Executive Officer
Tom Thimot is the President and Chief Executive Officer of CaseCentral, based in San Francisco. With 3 years as CEO, he led CaseCentral to a successful growth year in 2009 with the addition of new Am Law 200 and Fortune 100 clients like Boeing Corporation. He also led the expansion of CaseCentral’s leadership position as the pioneer of multi-matter, multi-party eDiscovery software to be the first to introduce eDiscovery process measurability to drive efficiencies and the first company to introduce a cloud computing-based, integrated eDiscovery platform to drive down cost and risk for clients.Tom is a seasoned executive who joined CaseCentral directly from Kazeon Systems, where as Chief Operating Officer he was responsible for greater than 300 percent annual revenue growth. Prior to Kazeon, he served as president and CEO of GoRemote Internet Communications, Inc., a NASDAQ company that was acquired by iPass. Prior to GoRemote, he was executive vice president of worldwide sales, services and customer support for Netegrity, Inc. Tom also served as the vice president of central U.S. sales at Oracle, where his team grew license revenues from $50 million to more than $250 million in a two-year period.
Steven d'Alencon, Chief Marketing Officer
Steve is responsible for product management and product marketing, and for all aspects of CaseCentral's marketing and communications. Steve is a product management and marketing executive with more than 20 years of experience at top enterprise software and high technology companies, including running his own marketing consultancy in Silicon Valley.Prior to CaseCentral, Steve was vice president of product marketing at Kazeon Systems, where he transformed the company into an eDiscovery product and solutions leader. Steve was vice president of product management and marketing at GoRemote Internet Communications, a NASDAQ public company that was acquired by iPass and vice president of marketing for the Oracle Application Server Division where he launched the Oracle Application Server and attained a top 3 market position while helping to double division revenue.
Chris Kruse, Chief Strategy Officer and Founder
Chris is responsible for establishing and executing CaseCentral’s sales and business development strategy as well as all new revenue generation activities. Chris founded CaseCentral in 1993 and has provided the leadership and vision to build a successful, market-leading SaaS/cloud computing eDiscovery and legal technology company. During his tenure at the company, CaseCentral has grown from a start-up to a dominant, tier-one player in the eDiscovery and GRC markets. Chris has led the company through three major cycles in the market, from a host-based, proprietary service, to delivering solutions via a SaaS model over the internet for large cases, to the current eDiscovery cloud offering for corporations and law firms with unique multi-matter, measurability and integrated capabilities. CaseCentral is widely acknowledged as a pioneer in the eDiscovery market and Chris is a well known industry visionary. He is a frequent speaker at LegalTech, the world’s largest legal technology conference and is active in many other industry groups. Under his guidance, the Company has been engaged on many high-profile projects, including litigation related to the collapse of Enron, the Insurance Brokers anti-trust kickback litigation and the merger between AT&T wireless and Cingular. Chris has spent over 20 years in the legal technology market, with leadership roles at Joint Defense Data, Inc, and LanSystems. Chris is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors.Sanjay Mehta, Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Engineering
Sanjay leads CaseCentral’s software development initiatives to deliver customer value. He brings more than 20 years of engineering and product development success and has been responsible for both hosted as well as on-premise software solutions. Before joining CaseCentral, Sanjay was chief architect and vice president of engineering at Mimosa Systems, where he led the development of the company’s enterprise-class NearPoint archiving solution for multiple business purposes, including eDiscovery, compliance, storage management and disaster recovery. Sanjay was also formerly vice president of software development at ZANTAZ (now Autonomy ZANTAZ), where he led the design, development and evolution of the company’s highly scalable Digital Safe compliance archiving service, which supported a capacity of billions of messages. His product development initiatives for the enterprise archiving system created the foundational value for numerous global law firms and Fortune 25 corporations.Sanjay holds a B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and a M.S. in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.
Michael Burrell, Vice President of Strategic Consulting
Michael is responsible for partnering with clients to identify their highest-value opportunities, address their most critical eDiscovery challenges, and to transform their eDiscovery business processes. Michael has nearly 20 years of litigation support and eDiscovery experience in various consulting and management roles at both corporations and law firms. His approach to eDiscovery processes, applications and tools are influenced by his experience and study in the fields of logic, data and statistical methods and his work has touched on every segment of the EDRM framework, from data collection and forensics to trial and presentation.Prior to CaseCentral, Michael was an account executive and sales engineer at Autonomy Zantaz, a leading integrated archive and eDiscovery solution, where he was a key contributor to the overall direction of the eDiscovery product and the success of the sales organization. Prior to Autonomy Zantaz, Michael implemented and directed the litigation support department at Hughes, Hubbard and Reed, an Am Law 200 firm in New York, where he was instrumental in the delivery and use of technology solutions for the firms’ overall eDiscovery needs. Prior to Hughes, Hubbard and Reed, Michael held several litigation support and eDiscovery positions with leading law firms and also drove in-house product design and delivery initiatives with respect to large-scale litigation matters.
Michael holds a BA in both Philosophy and English from Hunter College in New York with concentrations in symbolic logic and linguistics respectively.
Cliff Cate, Vice President of Client Services
Cliff is responsible for managing and growing the professional services organization, developing new services offerings and for client success and satisfaction. Cliff has over 15 years of professional services experience managing and delivering complex implementations for Fortune 500 organizations.Prior to CaseCentral, he was a Sr. Practice Director at Oracle where he was part of the leadership team for the North American Enterprise Content Management Consulting Practice. Cliff was a Sr. Director of Strategic Accounts at Stellent where he created and managed a team that was focused on helping Stellent’s strategic customers accelerate the successful adoption of Stellent software. Cliff was also an early employee at Viant Corp where he helped grow the professional services firm from 30 to 900 people and worked with some of their largest clients. Cliff began his career at Andersen Consulting. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, with an emphasis in MIS and Computer Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
