AIIM is the community that provides education, research, and best practices to help organizations find, control, and optimize their information. AIIM was founded in 1943 as the National Microfilm Association and later became the Association for Information and Image Management. Today, AIIM is international in scope, independent, and implementation-focused. As the industry's intermediary, AIIM represents the entire industry - including users, suppliers, and the channel.


The Association of Litigation Support Professionals is the only organization that comprises the full range of the litigation support industry. ALSP strives to develop a coalition of cross-functional litigation support team members capable of supporting globally accepted standards and certification, mentoring and community-building across all sectors of the field.


The Cloud Security Alliance is a non-profit organization formed to promote the use of best practices for providing security assurance within Cloud Computing, and provide education on the uses of Cloud Computing to help secure all other forms of computing.
The Cloud Security Alliance is comprised of many subject matter experts from a wide variety disciplines, united in our objectives:

  • Promote a common level of understanding between the consumers and providers of cloud computing regarding the necessary security requirements and attestation of assurance.
  • Promote independent research into best practices for cloud computing security.
  • Launch awareness campaigns and educational programs on the appropriate uses of cloud computing and cloud security solutions.
  • Create consensus lists of issues and guidance for cloud security assurance.


Launched in May 2005 by independent consultants George Socha (Socha Consulting, LLC) and Tom Gelbmann (Gelbmann & Associates), the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) Project was created to address the lack of standards and guidelines in the electronic discovery market. The completed reference model provides a common, flexible and extensible framework for the development, selection, evaluation and use of electronic discovery products and services. The completed model was placed in the public domain in May, 2006.


ILTA is the premier peer networking organization, providing information to members to maximize the value of technology in the support of the legal profession. ILTA's international membership comprises firms of all sizes and all areas of practice, each sharing a common need to have access to the latest information about products and support services that impact the legal profession worldwide.


The Sedona Conference is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) research and educational institute dedicated to the advanced study of law and policy in the areas of antitrust law, complex litigation, e-discovery, and intellectual property rights. Through a combination of Conferences, Working Groups, and the magic of dialogue, The Sedona Conference seeks to move the law forward in a reasoned and just way. The Sedona Conference succeeds through the generous contributions of time by its faculties and Working Group members, and is able to fund its operations primarily through the financial support of its members, conference registrants, and sponsorships.
