CaseCentral Completes Infrastructure Upgrades To Expand Scalability And Reliability
Implementation of EMC Solutions Accommodates Accelerating Demand For CaseCentral’s Discovery Management PlatformSAN FRANCISCO - August 23, 2006 - CaseCentral, the leader in providing on-demand discovery lifecycle management platforms for corporations and major law firms, today announced the successful implementation of two EMC infrastructure solutions that significantly expand the company’s ability to manage multi-terabyte electronic discovery cases.
CaseCentral, the leader in providing on-demand discovery lifecycle management platforms for corporations and major law firms, today announced the successful implementation of two EMC infrastructure solutions that significantly expand the company’s ability to manage multi-terabyte electronic discovery cases.
EMC CLARiiON® CX, a series of high-performance, high-capacity storage systems, substantially expands the storage capabilities of CaseCentral’s Online Repository & Review platform. The implementation of virtualization technology from VMWare™, an EMC company, enables CaseCentral to expedite the testing and development of core applications for clients using Online Repository & Review.
The upgrades announced today by CaseCentral are part of a strategic initiative to expand the capacity if its infrastructure to accommodate the rapidly growing volumes of electronic data and meet the accelerating demand from the Fortune 1000 and their law firms for reliable, high-performance discovery lifecycle management platforms.
“CaseCentral’s investments in world-class infrastructure from EMC demonstrates our commitment to meeting all of the needs of corporations and their law firms in this new era of multi-terabyte cases,” said CaseCentral CEO Chris Kruse. “These infrastructure upgrades increase scalability, reliability and performance, and strengthen our back-up capabilities to minimize the risk to corporate data. CaseCentral’s Online Repository & Review platform is now a smarter choice than ever.”
The system upgrades were designed to be completed before new Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP) take effect on Dec. 1. CaseCentral anticipates that changes to the FRCP will further increase the demand for discovery lifecycle management platforms because they require corporations to identify, store and retrieve a far greater volume of electronic data.
The EMC infrastructure upgrades come on the heels of the company’s strong growth in the second quarter of 2006. CaseCentral reported its second best quarter in its 12-year history last quarter as a result of new corporate customers in the financial services and energy services sectors, and increased usage from existing customers.
