CaseCentral Joins Cloud Security Alliance

First established eDiscovery company to join brings legal and cloud computing expertise to help shape cloud security guidelines

SAN FRANCISCO – May 18, 2010 - CaseCentral, the leader in secure, cloud-based eDiscovery software for corporate counsel and law firms to simplify and take control of eDiscovery, today announced it has joined the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) as a corporate member to assist in developing and establishing best practices for cloud computing security and usage.

CaseCentral’s established background in the legal and eDiscovery markets provide the Cloud Security Alliance with the knowledge and experience to continue driving the CSA’s commitment to security assurance within cloud computing. CaseCentral will assist in creating the CSA’s educational campaigns and programs on the appropriate uses of cloud computing and cloud security solutions for all users.

“CaseCentral is working with stakeholders in the legal market, including corporations’ inside counsel and law firms, to adopt and implement cloud computing solutions to securely and cost-effectively take control of their eDiscovery programs. We look forward to collaborating with the CSA members to provide the direction and guidance necessary for meeting security concerns with cloud computing,” said Tom Thimot, President and CEO of CaseCentral.

CaseCentral, the pioneer of the eDiscovery Cloud, works with corporations and law firms to ensure their confidential information aligns with proper jurisdiction, security and applicable document retention. The integrated CaseCentral eDiscovery Platform uses a secure, trusted private cloud delivery model with the most complete cloud security in the eDiscovery industry.  CaseCentral’s platform includes enterprise-class disaster recovery (DR), SAS-70 Type II certified data centers and a proven business continuity protocol plan to ensure core business processes are preserved and service to clients is maintained.

“CaseCentral’s expertise in eDiscovery is a welcome addition to the Cloud Security Alliance,” said Jim Reavis, founder of the Cloud Security Alliance. “The company’s experience working in the legal industry provides an important perspective to the challenges of cloud security. That insight will be valuable as we continue developing and evolving our guidance.”

CaseCentral recently demonstrated a portion of its cloud computing knowledge by creating the Blueprint for Cloud-Based eDiscovery, a framework for eDiscovery professionals to guide decisions in terms of security, privacy, control, risk and cost practices.
